West Coast Rap

West Coast Rap has a funky feel to it, usually involving elaborate bass lines and grooves. It is heavily influenced by the gang scene in East and South Central L.A., and often is about violence and brotherhood. Recently, however, West Coasters have been shedding a more positive light on their rap, and society as a whole has seen a positive effect from this.
