Cajun/Zydeco

This style of music combines the French romantic sounds of the accordion with the home-spun swamp sounds of the bayou folk music that eminates from Louisiana. With the French influx of immigrants, combined with the backwoods hillbilly music that was indigenous to Louisiana to begin with, the music created a swinging, danceable sound that is usually accoompanied by French lyrics.
