Andrew Padula graduated from G.I.T. (Musicians Institute, Hollywood, Ca.) in 1991. He began his career as a guitarist, performing with Mesa/Bluemoon recording artist Tim Eyerman and the East Coast Offering, which was a jazz fusion outfit. After this, he had his own new wave band called Treading Lemmings, which, in it's short 2-year lifespan, released a smattering of EP's, receiving a good amount of critical praise and college radio airplay. After Treading Lemmings, Andrew switched to bass (concurrent) and played with various regional acts including Daryl Davis (Chuck Berry's band) , Kelly Bell, Tim Eyerman's E-Factor (which included Timm Biery of Mahogany Rush) and nationals such as Pinetop Perkins, Bo Diddly, and Sherman Robertson (Paul Simon). Soon, he began touring with Bobby Parker in '96 and has played major festivals from Kansas to Belgium, Maine to Mobile, including the Democratic National Convention, the Chicago Blues Festival, the King Bisquit Blues Festival, the Kalamazoo Blues Festival, Smithsonian's 150th Birthday, St. Louis Blues Festival, North Atlantic Blues Festival, Chesapeak Bay Blues Festival, and many more. Padula and Bobby Parker are currently in rotation on B.E.T.s' Jazz Central program with a one hour feature concert.
Andrew Padula now works at a Music & Arts College in northern Virginia, while also collaborating with his own works/projects/bands.
