Due to her parents’ careers, Christina Aguilera traveled the world before landing in Wexford, PA, where she first began singing in area talent shows. At age eight, Aguilera appeared on Star Search hosted by Ed McMahon, and later, she auditioned and received a regular role on Disney's Mickey Mouse Club, co-starring opposite future teen idols Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, and Keri Russell. Christina, like many other artist, first experienced success in Japan. "All I Wanna Do, " a smash duet with Keizo Nakanishi, helped her top the charts. She then returned to America in 1998 to record the song "Reflection" for the soundtrack of the Disney movie Mulan. She was also quickly signed to RCA. She released her self-titled debut album the following year, and the smash hit single "Genie in a Bottle" made her a household name. The album sold more than 10 million copies worldwide. She has also performend at the Super Bowl Halftime Show and for President Clinton, and she has won many awards and accolades. Recently, she released Mi Reflejo, which shows Aguilera’s multi-lingual talents, and a holiday album.
