John AldereteJohn Alderete played with Racer X and Scream in the late '80s and early '90s. He still tours with Racer X in Asia, since the band is still hugely successful overseas. His main gig right now is the LA-based, melodic, down-tempo band, Big Sir. Recently a slew of other musicians, all fans of Big Sir, remixed songs for a record called "Now That's What I Call Big Sir." Remixers include Dan "The Automator" Nakamura and Sugar from Buffalo Daughter. John is also in Distortion Felix, a band that released "I'm an Athlete" (produced by Steve Albini) in 2000. John occasionally plays with Steve Salas, and does studio work with a wide variety of artists.
