With a background in classical violin and piano, MacAlpine has managed to meld several different styles of music into his very own style of instrumental guitar rock. Tony has released several albums over the years, including Edge of Insanity, Freedom to Fly, and Evolution. Recently, MacAlpine released Cab and Cab 2. His band M.A.R.S. included Tommy Aldridge on drums, Bob Rock on vocals and Rudy Sarzo on bass. They put out the Project: Driver album, and broke up soon after. MacAlpine also started a band he called MacAlpine, consisting of Alan Schorn on vocals, Mike Jacques on bass, Mark Robertson on keyboards, and drummer Billy Carmassi.
