Warren G.

Born: November 10, 1971
Long Beach, CA, USA

Warren G came out of the Long Beach rap scene in 1994. He grew up in Long Beach listening to his parents' seventies funk records. As a youth, he, Nate Dogg and Snoop Dogg formed a rap group called 213. After they all had trouble with the law, they finally decided to use music to get out of their hood. They met with a local record store owner, who had produced such artists as MC Breed and 2Pac. After that, Warren recorded his debut single for Death Row, "Regulate". It went to the top of the charts peaking at #2 on Billboard. In 1994, Warren G signed to RAL. In 1995, he helped produce a couple of other artists, before releasing Take A Look Over Your Shoulder. He then released G-Funk 2000: The New Millenium. Then in October, he released I Want it All, which featured Snoop Dogg, Eve, Nate Dogg, and Da Five Footaz. We will hear much more from Warren G in the future.
