Brent Burkett began the group the 4 Guys in 1954. The group relocated to Nashville January 1, 1967. Soon after, they were made Grand Ole Opry members, even without the benefit of a hit record. Burkett retired in 1999, and the band of 4 Guys disbanded soon after.
