Arlo Guthrie grew up in the shadow of his famous father, the worshipped Woody Guthrie. Arlo still honors his father and his style of music, yet maintains his own individualism, and has made an incredibly profound mark on the music world. Most popular for his imfamous "Alice's Restaurant", a song that was made into a movie, Guthrie enjoyed much success in the late 60's and early 70's. Since then, he has maintained his own Massachusetts-based record label, Rising Son Records, and tours on the 60's nostalgia circuit. Every year, one may catch Arlo performing live at the Woody Guthrie Folk Festival in Okemah, Oklahoma.
