Barking Tribe started in 1985 as Chain Gang with Kerry Pate (guitar), Tim Bagley (drums) and Mike Callahan (bass). After another band by the name of Chain Gang in the NY area got a record deal, we changed the name to Barking Tribe, figuring nobody had that one! After many, many, many lead guitar and drummer changes, Pate and final drummer Dylan Proctor moved to Minneapolis and replaced Callahan with Carlene Stinson (widow of Replacement's former Bob Stinson) on bass and changed name to Sir Fiend.
